Prayer Requests for the Week of 5/22

Additions/Updates for the week are in red. 

• Appointments/Hospital Updates: 
• Monday, May 23rd - the Pennington's oldest son, Michael is having a dr appt
• Wednesday, May 25th - Olivia, the Dozier's daughter, will be having another surgery on the infection in her cheek
• May 31st - Jenny Abt's daughter, Bella, will have her appendix removed
• June 2nd - Anna Kate, the Waldrip's daughter, will be having another surgery to remove her trach. They previously tried but she was struggling to breathe so they decided to wait a few weeks and try it again. Keep praying for the vocal cords to be strong! Please also pray for her to have NO difficulty breathing when they attempt to take out the trach on the 2nd.

• Jennifer Bradley's mom, Cheryl still struggling with job search

• Continue to pray for Karan Clark's parents as they move into a new home after 52 years. Also, as they care for Karan's 92 year old aunt.

• Emily Pennington's mom as she looks for a job in Birmingham - speech therapist 
• Carrie Wallace and her kids while Stephen's away in London on a mission trip.
• Watson's daughter, Emma Kate is not sleeping well
• Healing/Sickness:  
• Allred's friends' mom diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is going through chemo
• Elizabeth and Jeremy Bennett are expecting a baby in early November!!! Please pray for a healthy pregnancy. 
• Phyllis, Lisa Burns' mom's best friend has a rare form of lymphoma. She's in the process of a 7 day treatment of very high chemo, which will be followed by stem cell replacement. She'll be in the hospital for at least 3 weeks. 
• Karan Clarks's mom found out on Friday that she has a blood clot in her leg.
• Bridgette Beasley, the Clark's neighbor, is fighting cancer and was told she has 6 weeks. Pray for a miracle. 
  
• Amy Crews (Tommye Lambert's daughter) who has CF is still in the hospital, but seems to be doing well. Here is the link to her caring bridge site, http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/amycrews.
• Davis' family member has had a very difficult time getting pregnant and staying pregnant. She is pregnant now but it's very early on in the pregnancy. 
• Adryne Williams Davis - 3rd grade teacher at South Shades Crest battling lymphoma
• Davis' 30yr old friend diagnosed with lymphoma
• Dozier - healthy baby and pregnancy
• The Dubois' son, Jacob has a bad virus that is causing breathing problems.
• Gullahorn - close friend going through a divorce
• Halcomb's friend, Jack McEmory - stage 4 cancer.
• Family friend of the Pennington's, Sue Clements began radiation on Tuesday to shrink the tumor on her pancreas. Pray this works so they can operate (pancreatic cancer).
• Sandy Phelps' dad, Hugo Estes as he recovers from a procedure done on the 12th to remove precancerous spots from his face 
  
• Friend of the Phelps, Carson Sumpter (16) has stage 4 bone cancer
• Cami Stewart's cousin, Brian, is struggling with a liver disease and other recent complications. 
• Update: We've been praying for Cami and Roy's friends daughter, Candi and her brain tumor. She passed away last week. Please continue to keep her family in your thoughts and prayers as she has left a twelve month old behind.
• The Waldrip's daughter, Anna Kate - for her continued protection against getting any viruses/infections and for wisdom/answers from the doctors.
• Matt Watson's uncle Ray's healing from an amputated leg as a result of the tornado in Pleasant Grove. Please pray for him to stay in good spirits
• Alicia Wilbanks' friend, Brandie (battling cancer),  is still hanging on. They're not sure how long she has left but it doesn't look like she has very long.  Please please pray for her, her husband Richard, their daughter Emma, and all of her friends.
• Homes to Sell:  
• Burns - home inspection on Monday for new house. Closings to go smoothly - June 1st and July 1st
• Pennington's home in GA to have a solid contract by the end of May or they will lose their home here in Hoover 
• Watson's house to sell 
• Missions: 
• Stephen Wallace is on a mission trip in London!
• Sept Uganda Trip (Wilbanks)
• Overseas:  Sha Jackson's brother in law is in Afghanistan

• Appointments/Hospital Updates: 
• Wednesday, Phyllis, Lisa's mom's best friend is going in for stem cell replacement surgery/chemo for a rare form of lymphoma. She'll be having 7 days of very high chemo followed by stem cell replacement. She'll be in the hospital for at least 3 weeks.
• May 25th - Olivia, the Dozier's daughter, will be having another surgery

• 2 friends of Holly DuBois lost everything in North Alabama tornado. Please continue to pray for all in need.

• Matt Watson's uncle Ray's healing from an amputated leg as a result of the tornado in Pleasant Grove. Please pray for him to be mentally okay when he finds out about everything.

• Burns - put an offer on a house last Friday. Please pray for this to go smoothly. Praise - Stephen's mom will be letting us stay in her guest house until we close on our next house.
• Pennington's home in GA to have a solid contract by the end of May or they will lose their home here in Hoover

• On Friday, Anna Kate didn't tolerate the second process of getting the trach out. She was struggling to breathe so they are going to wait a few weeks and try it again. Keep praying for the vocal cords to be strong!!

• Dee & Anna Kate Mazingo leave for DC last Saturday. Pray for a safe trip and for Dennis who will be home with the twins for a whole week by himself.  
• Jacksons still don't power. Hopefully it will be back on by Wednesday. They are thankful though!

• Lisa Burns' grandmother temporarily lost vision on Easter. She's still in the hospital for tests. They think it was a small blood clot. Please pray for healing and answers - praise update - it was just a small blood clot do to her being off of blood thinners for several weeks. They think it's under control.

•  Pray for Alicia's contract with BSC to get approved so they will let her go to Uganda in January They are meeting this week and she should know something by Friday.
• Overseas:  Praise - Leslie Harper's cousin, Caleb got home from Afghanistan last week! Please pray for him and his best friend, Frank as they adjust to life back home. Sha Jackson's brother in law is in Afghanistan; Cosgrove's brother, Heath, left Afghanistan and is now home shortly before he relocates to Beirut, Lebanon.
